Insights into the Presentations

Our speakers explored the topic of AI from various perspectives, providing attendees with valuable insights for their everyday work:

  • Thore Harmuth, Co-Founder & CCO of BLP Digital AG, opened the sessions with his presentation “Achieving a Quantum Leap with AI and Deep ERP Integration.” He demonstrated how AI can be deeply integrated into ERP systems to achieve automation rates once considered unattainable. Real-world examples from the industry illustrated how companies can significantly enhance their efficiency through automated processes, such as in document processing or supply chain management.
  • Claudio Mirti, Senior Advanced Analytics & AI Specialist EMEA at Microsoft (Global Black Belt), focused his presentation “Building a Data Culture in the Age of Generative AI” on the critical role of a well-thought-out data strategy. He highlighted through compelling examples how a reliable and well-structured data foundation is key to the success of generative AI. Particularly impressive was his example of a small agricultural business using AI strategically to optimize processes – proof that AI offers significant value not only to large corporations but also to smaller organizations.
  • Dr. Steffen Reidt, Head of Technology Innovation at Capgemini Invent, presented his talk “How AI Makes Your Business Software Smarter,” where he explored current market trends and demonstrated how AI supports companies in optimizing their processes. Whether in standard solutions or custom developments, Dr. Reidt showed how predictive analytics and process automation help make better decisions and use resources more efficiently.
  • Erik Hundeshagen, Senior Project Manager at xalution, concluded the lecture series with “ERP Implementation: Project Goals and the Impact of Artificial Intelligence.” He discussed how AI can be integrated into Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Supply Chain Management to automate routine tasks, thus relieving employees. Special emphasis was placed on the role of AI-powered tools like Co-Pilot, which make operational processes – from financial accounting to inventory management – more efficient.
